Deco Dollz

Some illustrations from my moleskin sketch book, I will be reproducing these as colour prints hopefully. I discovered today i'm quite rubbish at painting these days after not picking up a paint brush since A levels, I hear practise makes perfect but I'm stuck with spending time to do this or just drawing in illustrator, decisions decisions...

Moleskin City

I bought myself a moleskin diary the other day to record all my ideas for my illustrations as I have too many, they especially seem to pop into my head when I'm walking about and by time I got home they've popped out of my head again doh! I'm loving it so far and there seems to be this whole communtiy online of moleskin diary users.

I stummbled accross this website this morning Moleskin City, it's awsome it has little video's exploring the diarys of some of my favourite designers and illustrators including Liselotte Watkins and Neasden Control Centre. There was an exhibition tour last year so I guess I'm finding out about this quite late but I thought I'd share seeing as there may be some other mole skin enthusiasts out there who don't know about this site, it's worth visiting for the video's alone. I'd like to make my own video when I've filled my moleskin :-) I want one of the city versions too, i saw them in a shop the other day but the 'London' version was all sold out and I can't exactly have New York or Berlin can I....

Brahma Competition

Here is my entry for the Brahma ( Brazilian beer) Competion, a bit more commercial than usual but I feel it fulfills the style as well as being trueful to myself, I am quite pleased :-)

Update: My work is featured in the gallery on the Brahma site have a look, there's lots more cool artwork on there too.

More Dior

Here are a few close up images of the make up from the Christian Dior spring/summer 08 show, I love the eyes so much!

Dior meets the Jetsons

I've noticed the images from the Christian Dior spring/summer couture show this week and there making me weak at the knees, I love the Jetsons meets Barbarella Geisha theme, I'm even seeing some klimt influences too although it could just be my imagination. The make up is to die for, they look so cartoon, so over the top sixties! The clothes are equally as gorgeous and OTT, which I love, to me it is so creative and Galliano is really having fun with fashion. I already have a little obsession with sixties fashion and collect sixties fashion mags which I will no doubt scan in to show and tell soon. Anyway heres some pics, I feel some more drawings coming on! Sorry about the small pic, if you double click it should get bigger.
